Featuring two Atlanta Ballet premiere works!
An exciting triple program is in the works for April 2018, including an Atlanta Ballet premiere of a new work by acclaimed choreographer Stanton Welch! His work Tutu is set to Ravel's Concerto for Piano in G major, designed as a large ensemble, three-movement classical work featuring 22 dancers, dressed in brightly colored costumes! The other pieces in the program includes a world premiere new work by Atlanta Ballet dancer Tara Lee, and Ohad Naharin's toe tappingly infectious Minus 16. Two premieres for the price of one ticket? That is sure to put a "Spring" in your step....
Now under the stewardship of new artistic director Gennadi Nedvigin, Atlanta Ballet's repertory is undergoing some exciting changes, including the arrival of a new Nutcracker in the 2018/19 holiday season. A former principal dancer with San Francisco Ballet, Nedvigin's new lineup for the 2018 spring season includes two new mixed rep programs, an astonishing one month after the other!
