An enduring favorite of opera houses across the Western world, Rossini's riotous comedy is back in Atlanta in this fantastic production from Micheal Shell. Once again we follow the wily servant Figaro as he navigates the machinations of his masters and mistresses, each out for their own happy ending! Figaro dashes about trying to keep everyone in check and comedic chaos reigns in this timeless classic.
What is the story?
We follow Figaro, the titular Barber of Seville and a self-made match-maker. His latest project is to ensure he can sprit away the beautiful Rosina to wed Count Almaviva, much to the dismay of her guardian Dr. Bartolo - who wants to marry her himself. Will love win the day, or will Figaro's cunning plans fail? Either way, it's a highly entertaining ride!
