Atlanta favorite, and resident star at the Alliance Theatre, Mary Lynn Owen pours her 40 years experience as a teacher and actor into her debut play, Knead. Owen has appeared in countless productions at the Alliance Theatre as well as making appearances in movies and television shows, the actor has also been awarded the Suzi Bass Award, now for 2018 this local star brings her talents to paper, as well as the stage, in this new work.

As one woman bakes bread in the early hours of the morning she is determined to execute her mothers ancient recipe. But as memories and the passing of time begin to interfere with her process the woman must knead, shape, and prove as she questions life's unpredictability.

You Knead to see this show!

To quote my friend, "Mary Lynne Owen was FANTASTIC! I cried, I laughed and I cried again!" This masterful play touched all of my emotions. I really felt like a passenger on her late night rollercoaster ride of memories and losses as she discovers the richness of family and life, bumps, burns and all!
