Atlanta Symphony Orchestra - A Very Merry Holiday

Closed December 21, 2018

Gransden has a medium timbre, silk glove of a voice that has been burnished by long exposure and careful study of such vocal greats as Sinatra and Bennett mixed with the more contemporary sounds of Bobby Darin and Harry Connick Jr.

Why See Atlanta Symphony Orchestra - A Very Merry Holiday?

Swing Into The Holidays with the Atlanta Pops

We may no longer roast chestnuts roasting on an open fire, or cut down a tree from our very own garden to decorate, but the cheer and joy of Christmas time carols and classics are enough to spread that warm festive feeling, even in states where it doesn't snow! Join the Atlanta Symphony Pops Orchestra for a spirit-brightening evening of swinging holiday music with the city's very own Joe Grandsen Big Band, Broadway songstress Allison Blackwell, the Greenforest Community Baptist Church Choir and the Atlanta All-City Choir.

Lead by principal pops guest conductor David Charles Abell, the ensemble will put a vintage spin on songs from different eras like 'Deck The Halls', 'Silent Night', 'Winter Wonderland' and 'Jingle Bell Rock', making it easy to singalong and tap your feet during energised arrangements and performances. Rumour has it St. Nick himself will take to the stage to hand out gifts with the aid of two special guest helpers, with a big secret surprise in store for all who attend!
