One of the most thought-provoking mass settings which challenges its listeners, it is an intense contemplation of both belief and uncertainty, encompassing moments of euphoria and distress, sublime elegance and drama.
A notoriously challenging piece for singers, only the best can truly tackle this monumental work. In step the exhilarating voices of the Symphony Chorus, joined for this performance by four excellent soloists from the world of opera in Julia Gruter, Anna Goryachova, Miles Mykkanen and Lawson Anderson.
