Why See Atlanta Symphony Orchestra - Leslie Odom Jr?
The Hamilton Star Performs Solo
Leslie Odom Jr. rose to international attention during his Tony Award-winning turn in Lin Manuel-Miranda's Broadway blockbuster Hamilton, originating the role of Aaron Burr. Whilst treading the boards, the rising star recorded two solo jazz-influenced albums on his afternoons and days off, also winning a Grammy for his role as a principal soloist on the Hamilton Original Cast Recording.
The Atlanta Symphony welcomes Odom Jr. for a special one-night-only performance of a broad-ranging repertoire of pop and jazz standards, as well as a sprinkling of Broadway show tunes in a nod to his days leading the revolution on the Great White Way. Blessed with a tenor so soulful it could melt butter, Odom Jr. calls to mind the iconic showmen of old. Don't miss the soulful, smooth and oftentimes swinging vocal stylings and magnetic charisma of a future legend in the making!
Performance date: 5 December 2018
