Fusing together introspective lyricism with up-beat, anthemic riffs, R.E.M. were the ultimate kings of Alt-rock, selling 85 million records in their time together.
Now celebrating the Athens, Georgia natives, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra presents this world premiere of the brand new symphonic experience R.E.M. Explore - with all-new orchestral arrangements of the band's most iconic songs. Alongside, fans will be treated to another world premiere from the Mike Mills* who debuts his Concerto for Violin, Rock Band and Orchestra, featuring the Grammy-nominated Robert McDuffie on violin.
*Please note, that Mike Mills is the only member of R.E.M performing at this event.
