Love and honor in Ancient Egypt

Why See Aida?

Every story is a love story

The sumptuous world of Ancient Egypt as imagined by Elton John and musical theatre legend Tim Rice takes center stage in this blazing Tony and Grammy-winning epic. Based on Giuseppe Verdi's beloved opera, the duo raise the tale with their own powerful songs including 'Halfway to Heaven' and 'Written in the Stars', as love, lust, war, and peace combine to create an unmissable musical spectacular.

What is Aida about?

In the ancient city of Thebes, the beautiful Aida is a slave to the Pharoh's daughter Amneris. Both are secretly in love with Radames, the head of the guards, but only to Aida does he give his heart. But Aida has an even bigger secret, she may be a slave here, but in Ethiopia she is a Princess, and her father, the King is on his way to rescue her, putting the futures of Aida, Amneris and Radames and the rest of the country in jeopardy as war looms large.
