Experience the camp, gore and hilarity of the beloved classic zombie slasher series during Out of The Box Theatre's Halloween season revival of Evil Dead: The Musical. Combining story elements and characters from the original, as well as Evil Dead 2 and Army Of Darkness, the ridiculously funny, self referential production won over critics and audiences during its Off-Broadway run in 2006, quickly becoming the Rocky Horror Picture Show of a new generation.
The bloody theatrical experience starts when five hormonal college students head to an abandoned cabin in the woods for a short vacation. The bumbling quintet soon land themselves in supernatural hot water when they discover a 13th century book of the dead and summon some demons that possess each of them, one at a time. Amidst off-the-wall humour (there's demons telling bad jokes) and loving send up songs including 'All The Men In My Life Keep Getting Killed By Kandarian Demons', 'What The F--ck Was That?' and 'Do The Necronomicon', it's up to Housewares employee and cult icon heartthrob Ash Williams to save the day with the help of his trusty chainsaw...
