Theatre, alongside the opera and classical performances, has long been thought of as a form of entertainment for older generations. But the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta challenges this misconception with the launch of their latest 2018/19 Theatre For The Very Young season, which offers professional performances for children aged 0 to 5 years old and their parents, in the hope that exposure to the art form will inspire, aid cultural growth and expand tiny consciousnesses in a safe, tailor made space.

Perhaps best known as a regular on NPR's news-based panel show 'Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!' as well as host of pop culture TV show PBS Science Goes To The Movies, Faith Coley Salie released 'Approval Junkie: Adventures in Caring Too Much' in 2017. The media personality returns to her home city to present a brand new one-woman memoir based on the daring compilation of essays, bringing her laugh-out-loud, often tender recollections of the turbulent emotional waters of adolescence and adulthood to the stage for a strictly limited run in the spring of 2019.

A fatal accident on a rollercoaster at the Wonderville theme park leaves the Saint Cassian High School Chamber Choir stuck in limbo where the mysterious Karnack, a fortune-telling automaton, allows them one chance each to win the ultimate prize - a second shot at life. Highly inventive, blackly comic and brimming with 13 original songs, this brand new musical from Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell will make its Atlanta premiere in Spring 2019 on the newly opened Coca Cola Stage of the Alliance Theatre.
