Why See Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats?
A man with hugely hidden depths, Rateliff has up until recently been recognized for his pensive, soulful folk songs. A self-taught musician from the tender age of seven (he learned to play the drums), he continued his musical education thoughout his teens by venturing into guitar, before writing his own music. His second album, In Memory of Loss, was produced by Brian Deck and was listed by Amazon as the "number-one album you might have missed" in 2010. In this new incarnation with his new band, The Night Sweats, Rateliff takes on a more R'n'B sound, and are set for a massive year in 2016.
By upping the brass and embracing his gospel roots with backing band The Night Sweats, Rateliff has produced one of the albums of the 2015, full of swaggering R&B anthems and confessional dance-a-longs, stating with Triple A Number 1 'S.O.B.' Lauded from London to New York, their live show is a thing of genius, and at this stage, unmissable!
Performance date: 31 October 2017
